After many years, the much loved social calendar date is back to shed light on the needs of Child Welfare. With only two months to raise a staggering amount of R6m, the project has its work cut out in order to prevent Child Welfare from closing its doors permanently. A simple enough process: red noses are sold to raise funds and highlight the essential services that Child Welfare provides to hundreds and thousands of families in need across South Africa.
At just R30 each, costing the average price of a good coffee, each red nose helps save children from child abuse and sexual exploitation. The challenge this year is for every supporter to actively encourage at least 5 others to follow suit. Due to the critical need for assistance, a new pre-order system has been introduced so you can now order early and collect your red nose when the big day arrives.
Local celebrities have also come out in support of the fundamental services Child Welfare provides to communities. Chad Saaiman, Siv Ngesi and Danilo Acquisto are just a few of the nation’s much-loved stars who are going all out to encourage people to buy red noses and donate.
